“Both Caroline Dawes and Kate Elmes like to play with light and shade, colour and contrast. One is a garden designer, the other a photographer. They are also sisters. So we asked Kate to photograph Caroline's garden.

Caroline uses her garden as a living showroom of sorts, where clients can see plants in the ground and how to use paving and pathways. "For instance, we've used contemporary paving around an old fashioned slate pool.”
